Free Junk Online

I am always surfing and always checking things out. It amazes me all the things you can get online these days. Free Ipods are the going thing. Apparently, if you sign up for some offers and get some other saps to do the same, you can really get a free ipod. (Anybody want sign up for some offers for me?) You can also get a job at home making up to $250 an hour. I would take that job all except I am afraid of what I might be like if I was a millionaire. I have also learned that you can get an Online Degree for life experience, with no attendance, no studying and no examinations. Best of all there is no waiting and no rejections. For $199 you will receieve a degree from an accredited university.

The marvels of our modern world.

Here is a great little site that helps you work on your writing skills. Everyday it shows you a word and gives you 60 seconds to write something. No time to think, only write. Give it a try. One Word.

The Village

The Village

Everyone lauded M.Night as the successor of Hitch, and I have to admit that I have been on the badnwagon too. I like the way he works the camera and I like the stories that He writes. The Village is a very interesting movie, we enjoyed it and found it a very relevant to parenting and living as a Christian on this planet. I agree with the thought that as much as you try to isolate yourself from pain and heartache, it has a way of finding you. Life cannot be completely struggle-free. You can do everything you can to preserve innocence, but the evils of life in general can inch their way into your existence. When that happens, do you given up on your chosen way of living or do you continue to run after hope? I believe in matters of family and life that "The world moves for love, it stands in awe of it."

Thank you Daddy

A while back I wrote a little tune for my youngest Zoe. I sing it to often and she has come to know it. Tonight it must have really been on her mind, because she came up to me and said, "Daddy sing Zoe Grace." Of course I obliged. I picked up the guitar, played the tune, sang the words and she just began to spin and dance with her arms out to her sides, head up and eyes closed. When I finished, she looked at me and said, "Thank you Daddy" and walked off.

I'm all set.

Hanging with Friends

It was so good in Atlanta to visit with our family and friends. Sometimes we wish we could see alot of these people more than we do, so it was good to have a few days to kick back and see everyone. Here are a few pics.

We visited at Connextion Church with our lifelong friends, Clay and Jody, Bryan and Angie. We really had a great time, and the kids completely enjoyed it. Lunch was awesome and the three couples and all of the kids ate a meal without any major incident. It was weird to me that all of the children took up with each other so easily. It was almost as if they knew that their parents were friends and that it was ok for them to be friends too. Oh, by the way, special thanks to 'Uncle' Bryan for taking all the kids out to Cold Stone while the adults talked. I'm still not sure who got the better end of that deal.

As soon as we got home from lunch, the kids and I headed out to the park to meet Mendi, Dave, Toree, Tyler and the Tan Man. My kids have been looking forward to this day with the cousins since the spitball incident at the last Merritt family reunion. They absolutely had a blast, while Dave, Mendi and I solved the worlds problems. It got dark before any of us got done. Here are a few pics.

Since last Sunday we have returned back to Arkansas, visited with a few CMA contacts and basically jumped into 2005 with both feet. We are incredibly excited about all the possibilities of the new year, but we know that through all of it, we are very blessed and special to our Father God. We as a family pray that our friends will enjoy this year living in the special smile of God.
